Prof Hongzhe Sun Receives RSC 2023 Dalton Horizon Prize

A team led by Professor Hongzhe Sun, Norman & Cecilia Yip Professor in Bioinorganic Chemistry and Chair Professor of Chemistry at HKU, has been awarded the Royal Society of Chemistry (RSC)’s 2023 Dalton Horizon Prize, for their pioneering research on the medicinal chemistry of bismuth applied to the treatment of COVID-19, and identification of target sites in SARS-CoV-2 enzymes using metallomics methods.
